Home Residence Restoration
Seattle, Washington
Restoring a home after a tree falls.
After a massive 100-year-old fir tree fell on Tom Drew’s home during a winter ice storm, splitting the structure in half, Charter Construction was brought in to rebuild and restore the home to its former state. Our work included complete demolition and rebuild of insulation, drywall, wiring, and flooring, bringing the house up to modern building codes while restoring its original design.

The Challenge
This project presented a unique set of challenges. The complexity of rebuilding half of the very spacious home required careful coordination. A two-month delay occurred due to permitting, but Charter’s team completed the project in just 10 months, ahead of the initial 12-month estimate.
The Solution
With full support from the insurance adjuster and a skilled team of professionals, we met the tight timeline and ensured the home was rebuilt efficiently and without budget concerns. We are proud to have helped Tom Drew return to his home faster than expected and with complete peace of mind.

Homes are sacred. Our team understands the emotional effects of property damage. That’s why we bring a compassionate approach to our work.
