Emergency response & sensitive fire damage repairs to a private residence.
We reconstructed a detached garage impacted by fire at this Brier, WA residence. The garage sustained significant damage, particularly to the roof framing and interior finishes. To restore the structure, the garage was completely stripped down to its studs. The roof was reframed, and a portion of the garage slab was replaced. New interior walls were framed, and drywall was hung and painted. Additionally, the garage received new cabinets and windows, and we updated the main dwelling’s windows.

The Challenge
One of the most unique aspects of this project was working with the client, Mona Bock, who had tragically lost her husband shortly after the fire. The emotional complexity of the situation required the project team to handle the reconstruction with extra care and sensitivity, respecting the grieving process and ensuring a supportive, empathetic approach throughout the work.
While the physical scope of the project was relatively straightforward, there were some logistical and emotional challenges.
The Solution
The most significant challenge was managing the emotional aspects of the project. Mona’s grief was understandably profound, and the project team worked closely with her to provide not only a quality rebuild but also the compassion and respect she needed during this difficult time. The crew, understanding the sensitivity required, went above and beyond to ensure the process was as smooth and considerate as possible for the client.
We arrived on the scene within 24 hours, and over 1 month, we fully restored the Bock’s garage.
Total Reconstruction
We completely rebuilt the garage from the inside out, replacing and rebuilding the interior beams and exterior siding.
